The Clear Horizon

From oblivion of alcoholism into the light of sobriety

8 months, what’s up next?

New ways, new goals…?

I have long been considering and pondering my sobriety. A lot has happened in these 8 months since I have quit drinking, and a many habitual changes have come and go. I will not go into the deeper detail, you can read this in the posts of the past.

I have, however, come to another bunch of conclusions and decisions on how to proceed on my journey.

The good thing is that I feel pretty self assured that I have quit drinking for good. That doesn’t mean I won’t be vigilant and wary of alcohol.

I have, however, come to the conclusion that different mechanisms and patterns don’t apply anymore, if they have applied at any time at all.

It doesn’t matter. The thing is, I am going to shift focus a bit. As you might have already figured out yourselves, sobriety and recovery have moved in the second row. It has not lost any of its importance, but the main topic of this blog and of my considerations will most probably shift from the aspect of sobriety and recovery to the more general topics and broader field of self efficacy, mindfulness and dealing with more general aspects of my Core.

The philosophical ramifications might have a more prevalent importance in my blog and I will most probably dive deeper into the aspects of the development of a mindful life, in combination with the Entropic Syntropic Nucleus Genesis, Philosophical horror, Cosmic Horror, Journaling TTRPG and so on.

As always, keep up the faith in yourself and take one step at a time.
