The Clear Horizon

From oblivion of alcoholism into the light of sobriety

The Power of reaching out

Just a short note today:

Whenever you have the feeling it gets all too much, it very much helps to write, of course. In a blog, or, preferably, handwritten in your diary. Reflecting is great and can be a great deal in recovery.

What is an absolute gamechanger is reaching out, however. Find a community, find a group or group of persons you do want to share your ideas, thoughts and intentions with. If you have the feeling of being judged or looked down upon, you might want to choose different people. It never helps to have the feeling kneeling in the dust before someone standing upright in front of you looking down and sneering on you.

Until then: Take one step at a time and never lose the faith in yourself.
